Mary's Pit Bar BQ

This place is awsome,highly recommend. Take the time and the drive but its truly worth every bite. You will not regret the decision.

Solid local BBQ spot. Everything you'd expect from a traditional, southern barbeque spot. Huge plus that they're open on Sundays, something that seems criminal in the South.

I ate here two years ago and just came across my pics from that meal and it reminded me how good it was! I am looking forward to going back sometime soon but in the mean time, I'll just droplets over my pictures. It's a tiny place with only outdoor seating but when you pull up, you just know it's going to be delicious. The meats are the stars at Mary's... Chopped pork sandwich and ribs that find that fine balance of meaty, juicy, smoky, and not-dry!

We happened upon Mary's after we had picked muscadines. We like places that are local! We really enjoyed the food & being able to sit outside at the picnic table! I had the Turkey sandwich & my friend had the pork.. very tasty!

Got the loaded baked potato and it was great. I'm used to most bbq places putting the sauce on already but not at this place which I found I liked because I could request more. My husband got the pork sandwich. It looked really good as well. There is some indoor seating but we preferred to be outside as it was a nice sunny day.
