Atlanta Bread Huntsville

This review is for Atlanta bread in West Huntsville on University Drive. I visited Atlanta Bread on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM. My overall impression of the store when I first walked in was very positive. The store was very clean and well kept. As I walked in I noticed that all of the empty tables were clean. The floors also looked clean swept and freshly mopped.

At the time I was there the store wasn’t very busy. There were probably less than a dozen customers in the store.

On this particular visit I ordered a pecan roll and a house coffee. I ordered my house coffee in a to go cup because I planned to remain in the store for a while as I was meeting with a group. I took my cup over to the house coffee canisters to fill it with a light roast coffee but the canister was empty. I decided to try the dark roast coffee which had some coffee in it; however, the coffee was only tepid at best. Then I went to put some creamer in my coffee. I wanted to use the half-and-half creamer but it was empty.
This was at approximately 3:35 PM.
Atlanta bread store hours for Sunday are stated that they remain open until 7 PM. I would expect that the store would have hot coffee and creamer available at least until six or 6:15 PM. This is why I give the store at four instead of five stars.

Next time I visit the store I’ll make sure not to order the house coffee.

As a member of a group who plans to meet at Atlanta Bread on a regular basis, we will return. Our group ranges from ten to twenty members who find Atlanta Bread location, ambience and menu selections just right for our gatherings.

I love this place. It's a coffee house atmosphere with better food! My favorites are Butternut Squash soup, Chinese Chicken salad, Waldorf Chicken Salad sandwich, Turkey cranberry sandwich (only during holidays). And the Peach ice tea.

The place was charming and welcoming. The lady at the counter was very friendly and nice. Had the chocolate chip cookie which were very yummy but large. For the main meal ate the Waldorf sandwich on the cranberry bread. The bread had a slight sweetness but was extremely good and complimentary to the onion and apple that was mixed with the chicken. Very much reccomend this tasty lunch. Tables and floors were also clean so big props to that.

I've been coming here regularly to eat and buy bread to take home for years, and I'm sad to be moving further away from the place. The food is always fresh, delicious, beautifully laid out, and unlike many places, they're not skimping out on the more expensive ingredients. My favorite sandwich has thick layers of fresh sliced avocado, not a spurt of refrigerated paste like in some other places. Soups are thick and creamy, salads have plenty of cheese/nuts etc. and bread is fresh and tasty. There are multiple options for us vegetarians as well. The service is always very friendly, and the couple of times there's been some problem with my order/food, they've been eager to rectify and make up for it. Would definitely recommend!

The bread is so fresh. I love the honey ham sandwich and the mini brownies. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It's clean and I feel comfortable eating inside.
