Wayback Burgers

Love this place!! Some of the staff not so friendly but the food is really good. I like the cheese steak or the cheesy! Yumm!

Had this discussion over lunch with a friend. Much better then Red Robin but not as good as Five guys. The service was good, establishment was clean, the burger was piping hot and made with real meat.

There menu is straight forward burgers, dogs, chicken, and Philly cheese steak. It's all fresh cooked and served hot. After several visits they family has enjoyed everything we've ordered. They even have a veggie burger. I'm partial to the Philly cheese but the burgers are fantastic as well.

So this was our first time at Way back Burgers. The ordering system is similar to Five Guys. On the plus side they have a chicken option (grilled or crispy) and a veggie option (why would you take someone that's would eat a veggie burger to a burger joint?!?) They have less topping options than Five Guys and more "sauces". Let's get to the burger. The only word I can think of to describe the burger is bland. The meat had just no flavor. They need to season their meat while cooking. Now the toppings I got grilled onions and pickles...c'mon guys...pile it on...nope. had to search for the onions...which wasn't hard since there were two lonely pickles on there. The wife had the same trouble and they forgot her bacon (which is an extra dollar here...can't remember if there's an up charge at five guys. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but not necessarily something to write home about either. The fries were nothing special...No seasoning...not even salt...which I couldn't find anywhere in the place, but that was fine. The burger is what I was interested in and it kinda fell flat. 3 stars because this joint is neutral...If five guys is crowded give it a try but you'll probably wish you would have just waited for Five Guys.

I called in 10 different orders with 8 separate payment methods - all with special instructions. Order was ready within 15 minutes and the young lady at the register had it all organized so even that many different payment methods was a breeze. Everything was fresh and correct, and they even carried the box to the car for me. Fantastic crew you have there!
