TailGaters Sports Bar & Grill

This was my first time here, and we tried the wings and a burger. It took almost an hour to get the food. The burger was good. The Bourbon wing sauce was great! The Mango Habanero was pretty bland. The wings are crispy (not breaded), which is how I like them. I'll come back at some point and hopefully they'll have more staff to get the food out in a reasonable timeframe.

We have been to Tailgaters twice in the last month and have been happy with both visits. First, we came specifically for the wings, which did not disappoint. They came out pretty quickly, were perfectly crispy, and were tossed in plenty of sauce, no stinginess here. On our next visit, I wanted to try something other than wings. We got the Philly cheese steak sandwich and the Redneck Nachos. Both were very good and I would absolutely order again.

Overall, it's a great sports bar in the Cove and worth a visit.

Wanted to try this place for a while and finally took the wife for lunch. Overall, much better than I expected. Anytime I see "sports bar" I'm always worried but this place is like a southern style B-Dubs. Wings were awesome! We got a 10 piece "hot" wings with sweet potato fries which were also yummy. Super crispy! I got all 3 sandwich sliders and onion rings. Burger, pulled pork, and chicken. They were all good and the onion wings were crispy and had a great flavor. For an appetizer we got the pulled pork fries with cheese sauce. Great way to start the meal. Decent beer selection for Hampton Cove which I enjoyed during the meal. Definitely the kind of place to have a drink, watch some sports, eat some wings, and relax with friends. Only knock would be it was slow to get seated, but with so many people not working recently it was well within limits. I'll just say that we didn't come for great service. We came for great atmosphere and great food and we left very happy.
