Cucos Mexican Cafe

Love love love Cucos!They have the best cheese enchilada and chips & salsa anywhere in the USA...this includes all the texmex I have had in California...Texas..Chicago....Montgomery Alabama.....and so far.. Atlanta! This is a lot of Tex Mex I am talking about..they have two locations downtown and Montgomery east..(Pike road).

Good food, reasonable prices and family friendly. The hostess and our waitress were smiling and friendly, even though it was a busy Friday night. Though the food was a little slow coming out, the portions were generous. We ordered two appetizer Sampler platters, a nachos and an enchilada plate. The Sampler platter chimipoquitos (mini chimichangas) got a thumbs up from everyone.

I decided to try a frozen margarita with a shot of top shelf liquor. I let the bartender surprise me with which one. I was glad I did, because she chose Grand Marnier, an orange flavored Cognac. I've discovered a new favorite drink! The bright tartness of tequila and lime mixed with the smooth citrus and smokiness of the aged Cognac is a match made in heaven.

We used to go to Cuco's a lot when it was on the Eastern bypass. This is the first time we have visited it's newer location in Chantilly. We found the food to be just as good as we remembered. They still have the same good nachos and good chips and salsa. The location was fairly nice although not brand new. Our server seemed a little confused but he may have been new and did a good job. My only complaint is they handed us a couple of menus that were so torn up we could barely read them. It's about time they buy some new menus.

Love Cucos! The food is always good! Staff is friendly and helpful. Great place to get your Mexican fix! Lunch is busy, but they still take care of you quickly!
