The manhattan was terrific and the 8 oz Filet cooked properly; juicy, tender, flavorful. The Ferrari Merlot was a good pairing for my preference. It was a generous pour as well. Loved the wedge salad with the Gorgonzola dressing. Server was super pleasant and the gal who answered the phone assured me that they would hold the table so I should not worry about traffic. This proved to be a valuable feature. Desert menu was somewhat limited and unimaginative. Highly recommend.

We ate here while in Birmingham visiting family for Thanksgiving. The service was fantastic, but the food was a different story. My son and I both got the lasagna. It was very dry. We were there right after the Auburn-Alabama football game (almost a holiday in Birmingham). We assumed it had been sitting around waiting on the customers to come. Neither one of us like to complain. We simply asked for a little extra sauce. They CHARGED us $0.50 for a thimble full of marinara sauce! This is an $18 dollar dish (X2)! Our tab for the night was over $200. I can’t believe they would be so cheap as to charge extra for sauce! Out of a party of 6, only two were pleased with what they ordered. I think we’ll choose somewhere else to eat next time we’re in town.

Can't say anything bad about this place. The prices are high but it's well worth it. We came for the wife's birthday and she had a great time. If wife is happy, husband is happy. Will visit again soon!

Located in a shopping center storefront you might not go here on impulse. You will enter into a lovely decor which plants you into a most intimate restaurant in Italy. Service was excellent with wait staff concentrating on great service before and during the meal. The food is excellent and you cannot go wrong but splitting a Char Grilled Caesar salad with your companion is a great way to start. This place has it all over the chain Italian restaurants for gourmet food. There are average priced typical dishes at $15 to $18 entrees. Seafood and steak are on the menu but at higher price levels. For seating in the core area with most ambiance reservations are recommended, even during the week. Several eating rooms are offered where decor is not on the level of the main rooms and bar. This is a great place for a date or celebration.

Best kept secret in Birmingham restaurants. Super secret tip: Make sure you check out the availability of the lunch menu. On Saturdays they serve lunch until 5:00 p.m.. These are the same portions as the dinner menu and you will pay half the price. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere just as you would hope.
