Tacos El Guero

This was the first place I found Tacos al Pastor in Birmingham back in 2016. Excellent street tacos, good prices, and generous serving sizes. My favorite is the green sauce on the tacos al pastor. Also notable was the chorizo. If you're in the mood for something cheesy, the Pastor Gringas is pretty unique. It's like a street taco / quesadilla hybrid. If I had to commute down 280, I would be stopping by here all the time to turn that traffic frown upside down. :-)

Proper street taco. The pastor tacos are my favorite. I think the others need the salsa to have enough flavor. The salsas are good - for gringos, expect to burn either the front or back of your mouth, depending on your salsa of choice.

My son introduced me to this taco truck. These are great, inexpensive, and authentic. The green sauce is awesome (but has a kick) They make an awesome evening snack. Or grab a fast lunch. Grab a bottle of Mexican Coke or drink from the truck or something else from the gas station. Well worth a special trip or the stop if your driving buy.

One of the best taco trucks in Birmingham, and certainly the best on Hwy 280. I love their tacos and quesadillas. Moderate priced and quick service makes this a great lunch option.
