Service is quick and polite. The drunken noodles taste amazing with a little kick. Busy during lunch, but doesn't get backed up.
This place has quietly become one of my go-to lunch spots downtown. The food is always excellent - really high quality and delicious. It feels authentic to me but I’m just a Thai food buff so take that for what it’s worth. Every dish I’ve had so far has been very good.
Tried for the first time last week. Loved it. They have $7 and $8 lunch plates that include a spring roll. Have a couple of unique menu itrms for our current Thai scene. Will probably make this part of my regular lunch rotation. Parking is a challenge during the day for sure.
I went here for the first time about two weeks ago and absolutely loved it. This place is relatively new to the area and for me is a hit. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic and you have the option to get the food to go as take out of you can sit in if you would like. I have the drunken noodles and the curry and both were amazing. If you are looking for some quality Thai food in Birmingham, go for it.
I recently moved from Southern California so I had access to ethnic mom and pop food joints around every corner. I have to say that Yum Yai Thai takes the cake. Even if it were in Cali with all of the competition, it would most likely be my go to joint flavor wise. It's a decent price for the amount of food. The restaurant is unassuming. Good for a sit down or take out option. Food is essentially cooked to order, so you may wait a few minutes for your order. I'll be back time and time again. Thanks Yum Yai!
