Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

A smidge pricier than fast food, but you won't be disappointed, the quality of the food and the amount you get for what you pay are definitely worth a few more dollars a person. Place is always clean and service is exceptional, I look forward to visiting here regularly.

This is the cutest place. The staff is friendly and attentive. They kept my husbands tea full and made sure we were happy with our order. We got there early and watched the place fill up quick for lunch. They play 50's music and is decorated so cute. A must go if you come to Alabama

Great food and service! Was our first visit but will definitely be back. Pimento cheese and bacon on sourdough was awesome. Loved the flavor of the day: strawberry-banana custard!

We are so happy we chose to dine with Hwy 55 for the first time last night. We were greeted with an employee who opened the door for us and then the employees behind the counter welcomed us. While waiting for our order they gave us a sample of the ice cream of the day! It was delicious. We had the best hamburger , fries, fried pickles and onion rings that we have had in a very long time. Our drink cups were refilled quickly and we were offered a refill to go. The waitress was knowledgeable and so very sweet. The atmosphere is happy and takes you back to a simpler time in history. The prices are reasonable so that everyone can enjoy good food and service. As we left the same employee opened the door for us. We will come back hopefully once a month at least. Hopefully we will have a happy experience every time.

This place is very similar to Steak and Shake, but with better food. The burger was large and delicious. The frozen custard was fantastic. They allow lots of add ins, and the concrete is super thick.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. Would go again.
