Batter Up!

Stopped for lunch. Sports bar atmosphere. Had steak. Very good. Friendly, good service.

Ate at Batter up 8/16/19 for dinner on our way home form Birmingham. The owner and staff made you feel if you had known them for years. Friendly and very accommodating. The owner actually came to our table twice to speak and the waitress was always checking on us. The food was equally wonderful, reasonably priced and large portions. this place is about an hour's drive from my home but I will definitely go back soon and take friends.

Service was excellent, entire staff and owner were the friendliest I've ever had anywhere. Food was all tremendous. We had several appetizers, wings, steak, shrimp and fish; all was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be going back soon.

I heard good reviews about batter up and made the 30 minute drive to try it. I’m so glad I did. Upon entering we were met by Les the owner. Nicest guy ever. My wife ordered the jumbo fried shrimp that they get fresh from a boat in Louisiana . I can honestly say they were the biggest shrimp I have ever seen served in a restaurant . I got the ribeye and it was cooked medium rare like I asked for. The steak had a great smoky flavor and the steak butter was great. The fried green tomatoes were good. I got the grilled shrimp add on and they were good. I love a salad so I added a trip to the salad bar which was loaded with everything I like including eggs. I can’t wait to go back and try the country fried steak and hamburger steak and the chicken and dressing.
