“Sara's Sandwiches is a great place to get a sandwich, soup, and salad. Ordering is simple using a piece of paper, circling what you want. Sara's Sandwiches appears more like a deli with all those great sides like egg salad. The fountain drinks come with refills and the seating is basically outdoor furniture. “So tonight, my 3rd time ordering from here, I am a loyal customer. Not only have I been treated to exemplary customer service, I have been treated like a person. Their food is great and the portion size is very good. But their delivery drivers are amazing! I was picking my fiancee up from work and the time ran a little longer than expected. As we were heading back home we got a call from the driver saying he was here. We let him know we were a few minutes out and my brother could take the order if he was allowed to. He quickly explained the policy that prevented this and that he would wait for just a few more minutes for us. ***15 minutes later*** I pull up to my house go see this, I would say saintly, person standing with our food. He was all smiles and "no worries" and just really amazing towards us. So if you have a hankering for chinese food, don't want to break the bank and want to be treated like a human being, order from here and you will not be disappointed.”

“Amazing! Today was my first experience here and I was impressed with the quality of the food and the staff. We ordered the tofu soup, the chicken curry, and a shrimp fried rice, and every dish was excellent. The dining room and windows are very clean. The wooden furniture was strong and seemed to have been polished recently. Food and comfort were both present throughout. I highly recommend trying this establishment.”

“RV Dump and Propane here! If you live in Sand Lake near West Dimond Blvd then this Holiday Station might be your favorite gas station. Unlike other gas stations this one is built for large RV's that need space to turn. The RV Dump is free and it's behind the gas station, so I suggest hitting the RV Dump first then drive around the gas station and fill-up on fuel before leaving. “I really enjoy this place. It's your typical American-Chinese restaurant! The service is friendly and prompt. The prices are a little expensive (~$20 per person), but that matches with the other locally owned Chinese places in Anchorage. The portions are huge! I get 2-3 meals out of one order of Mongolian beef, which I can't say is true for other similar restaurants. If you're looking for a Chinese place, I can recommend Peking Wok! Also, they have cool fish and you can see the wall of pictures of the owner's dogs!”

“It was cold snowy Saturday afternoon and I didn’t want to go out but we needed cold medicine. When the temps are in the 20s it takes a while for the car to warm up. In fact it never did get warm and we were chilled to the bone. We need something hot, tasty, and filling to warm our souls and a large steaming bowl Pho from Pho Vietnam #3 was the answer. The service was warm and within minutes I was enjoying a bowl of spicy noodle soup and my spouse was looking pretty happy with chicken pho. We left warm, happy and ready to kick our colds.”

Down to the “typical” gas station employee, you will meet the exact grade of human character you have come to expect, only with a regional twang specific to each Holiday Station. I am actually someone fearful that the recent Circle K acquisition will ruin the local flavors I have come to enjoy during my travels upon Earth.”
