Tal-Wi-Wi Lodge

Tal Wi Wi Lodge is a great place to stay when visiting the Alpine area. Even though our reservation was somehow lost, Nellie (host) wasted no time in rectifying the situation. We wound up with an upgraded room at no additional cost. Room was outstanding. Neat and clean. Very spacious, bed was very comfortable. We sat out on the balcony area and ate lunch. Temperature was around 64 with cloudy skies. Huge difference from the Mesa area. The view out of the window was like a postcard, just amazing. Only about 2 miles or so from Alpine. Will definitely book a stay there again when staying in the area.

Well, to start we were 4 hrs late being able to check into our room. Their cleaning staff quit. The cleaning company managers parents actually cleaned up. They were amazing btw. Back in the day this was the place to be. Now not so much There is no staff on site, bar and restaurant is closed. Same with their gym wifi did not work. Coffee maker was dirty had bugs and hair in it no coffee stuff. No office staff, had no ice in the freezer, the room next to us had 1 towels for 4 people.
The elderly lady who was in rooms across from us fell and broke her hip. Had a hard time getting help there. But our room was clean. For what we spent we will not be going back.

Beautiful setting. Lovely room. Excellent shower. Satellite TV and WiFi.

Never saw any staff, though. Self check-in and check-out only as instructed by email.

No restaurant on site. We enjoyed dinner at the Grill and Still and breakfast at Bear Wallow in town. Real character at both. If you're a 2A supporter, you'll love the Wallow! If not, well, you'll love the breakfast.
