We drove the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway today from Alpine,AZ. At lunchtime we saw P.J.'s and stopped in and both ordered the Big Mama and drinks. It was delicious and filling. The added surprise at the end of the meal was being told that we didn't have a check and someone else has paid for our meal. Don't know who it was but thank you; quite a pleasant surprise.

Had a great Saturday breakfast as I rode thru town. On a cross country trip, & this was such a great stop. As you can see, my Green Chili & Cheese omelette.

I’ve tried a few of their dishes and some are good but with high prices I tend to go to other places when they’re open. For example: $9 for a grilled cheese and $9 for poached eggs on toast is a lot, not including the charge for paying with credit. Both of these dishes cost less than a $1 to make. The jumbo youngun burger is fantastic. They’re pretty pricey though, $16 for this burger and looks about the same size as their other burgers. I did like the yummy burger too but felt like it was missing something. Patty melt is probably my go to. Quality varies thought, I’ve gotten some lousy overcooked burgers and fries that seem like they been sitting for a while. Definitely don’t recommend the Big Mama: tortilla was soggy, cheese not melted, and the green chili meat seasoning was bad(think it was way over seasoned, been a while). Couldn’t even finish it and I was hungry. Service is great though and owner is a chill down to earth dude. However asked for recommendations and get that all their food is good with zero context. Menu lacks descriptions and little photos online of their dishes makes is difficult to order. Since they don’t even have their menu online, I’ll help ya out.
