I'm visiting from LA. Used Yelp to find lunch. This place was AMAZING!! Staff was kind and very helpful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I had the pulled pork sandwich fully loaded ! My son had the brisket. We also had potato salad, corn, and potato salad! Everything was tasty and home made! I wish this spot was in Cali! I will definitely come back here to eat when we are in AZ..
This BBQ joint is pretty dang good! Don't be scared off by the "high" prices; the servings are generous, and the by-the-pound cuts are super tasty! My wife and I shared a brisket sandwich, a pair of pork ribs a single serving of their Mac N Cheese and stumbled away stuffed! Looking forward to having more!
The absolutely best bbq in the west valley if not all of Phoenix. Most places I've been too either have 1 or 2 good things but everything we good today was unbelievably delicious. Smoky but not too smoky, peppery but not too peppery, juicy but not top juicy. Even the sauces were good matches for the meats.
This small family restaurant has the best Texas style BBQ in AZ. It features real smoked meats, lightly seasoned with huge flavor. The sides are simple, authentic, and compliment the meats perfectly. Except there's nothing simple about the beans. Easily the best beans you'll find West of Texas. It's not cheap, but definitely a bargain for the quality of food and attention to detail. The building is dated but freshly painted and clean. The staff are friendly and unpretentious, and welcoming even to BBQ newbies. From what I can tell, everything is scratch made with passion. I'll be back!
The sauce provided was just alright. Same for the Mac and cheese. The beans tasted like pinto beans with shredded meat in it. Nothing special. The rub on the ribs was overpowering in relation to the amount of meat on the bone. The pickles and onions I expected to be pickled and was disappointed that they just tasted like regular pickles and onions. The one shining star was the fatty brisket. It was tender and full of flavor. Unfortunately everything else was just average.
