Portillo's Hot Dogs

First time here, it was great. Food was awesome and cooked fresh. Inside of the restaurant was the best part with all the old memorabilia. I will definitely be back.

I love this restaurant. They have the best chicken salad sandwich and the best chicken salad. Bar none. I like the interior of the restaurant as it has all these the stalls of signs hanging all over the place. Now they're not cheap mind you. But the food is fantastic. The sales personnel are wonderful carry it they have probably 50 different types of sandwiches and burgers and salads a large variety. I love the place it is a great family and oranges by yourself in a date or just by yourself for lunch and/or dinner. I highly recommended.

I adore Portillo's and have been eating their food since 1970 in Chicago. I had been driving all the way to Tempe a few times per year for my Italian Beef fix, so was thrilled to see them go in a mile from my house. The first few times I went, everything was exactly as expected. However, as time has gone by, the quality of the food has dropped considerably. It started with adding less and less beef to the sandwich, and has now progressed into having nearly inedible beef. The last sandwich I got was so over-cooked, it was almost brittle. How can something cooked in liquid end up brittle?? If you have a bad experience at the Avondale location, go ahead and try one of the other two stores. That's apparently where the talented cooks work.

Amazing customer service, food was excellent (husband got the beef sandwich, I got the broiled chicken sandwich and our son got chicken tenders), very clean place, high chairs, and changing station in the bathrooms. The atmosphere and decor really brings this place together. We will be coming back for sure :)

I've never been to Chicago so I can't say how this place compares to there, but I thought it tasted quite good. This place just opened on the West side, and I've only been here once. The combo beef and Italian sausage sandwich was great, especially the sausage. The place is open and loud with many employees. Love moved very quickly, so don't be alarmed if the line is wrapped around the wall.
