J Chen

We have eaten at J Chen for years and it's always been very consistent and delicious but I have to admit the past couple of times we've been there the food doesn't seem to be the same quality as it used to be. I have a feeling it has changed hands, that there's new ownership. The prices have gone up as well. I feel like all the entrees are maybe $2 more each. It's just not as good as it used to be. But it is convenient for takeout Chinese and it's definitely the best Chinese food in the area.

Reasonably priced. The service was a little slow but the food is decent. I definitely wasnt impressed with the frozen vegetable rolls.

Food is always good. The service was great. The place is clean and well taken care of including the ladies bathroom.

Visited J Chen today. Pretty impressed by all the A ratings from the county inspector posted in the front window. I had a lunch special Sweet & Sour Pork which came with a couple of fried wonton, hot and sour soup and I upgraded to fried rice for another 50 cents. Pretty tasty, no issues and a reasonably priced lunch. Service was also fine, no problems at all. I kinda felt bad for them though, I was there on a Friday from 1130 AM to a bit past 1230 PM and there were very few customers. I give it four stars which to me is a good rating, I didn't cut a star for anything wrong, it's just that the food was good but not "wow," you know. I wouldn't have any objections to a return visit.
