Shimogamo

We read reviews and decided to stop at Shimogamo. It atmosphere in informal and the people very friendly. We caught snatches of other conversations around us and they were very outgoing to everyone. The service was very quick and helpful. The sushi was wonderful. It won an award for the best sushi in the Phoenix metro area. Shimogamo is worth a stop if you are in Phoenix.

Amazing service, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Food is spectacular with beautiful presentation. I would recommend the Tempura Ice Cream for dessert. It's a perfect compliment to the entrees and it received raving reviews from both my wife and I. We will definitely be going back again!

One of the best sushi restaurants in the valley. I love their beef tongue and chirashi. Dishes are delicate and authentic. The interior was more like a modern style instead of traditional Japanese but it is chic and cute. It is a small restaurant so seats are limited. Better make reservation before you go, otherwise the owner may reject you, even though it is early in the evening. I have seen that many times and I was rejected several times, too.

Wow! What can I say that hasn't already been said by the hundreds of other people who have reviewed this place! It's absolutely spectacular. You MUST go here if you love sushi!
