Maguro Sushi and Ramen

New spot near our house and we're so glad we gave it a shot! Great sushi, very fresh and full of flavor. Their sushi selection is wonderful! PLUS they have amazing ramen too!! How did we get so lucky?! You must try if you love ramen or sushi. Very friendly and fast service as well.

The girlfriend and I recently took advantage of the happy hour. Needless to say, rolling large Saki bomb deep, it was possibly the best sushi I have experienced to date. I ordered the Vegas roll and the Philly role (which is amazing because they do not put cucumber in with the mix). The girlfriend ordered tuna shashimi and salmon nigiri.

We walk in, its very quaint and comfy. I am not sure but it looks family owned. The old gentlemen (i assume the owner) occasionally walks out and inspects every aspect of the sushi bar. The sushi chef would stand back and wait. This event was amazing and just shows the passion this location has for its craft. The sushi chef, very professional, quick, articulate, kind and detailed. Our waitress, was extremely nice and had that perfect mix of leaving us to our food and company but also ensuring everything is taken care of.

The dishware is also amazing and each plate is slated with ceramics that really frame the delicious items laid upon it. The Saki set you are given is also unique.

I appreciate that this place exists and the owners take boatloads of pride in the craft. Lucky us it's a short walk away... so with that I say, "MORE SAKI!"

Delicious food. Quick service. Modern decor. Absolutely delightful. 11/10.

The broth is flavorful but not overwhelming. Noodles had nice texture as well. The toppings were also pretty authentic. The portion is small for the bowl, but it's a presentation style that some contemporary ramen shops use in Japan. Service is also great. I'll definitely come back for more.

Love this place. The aesthetic is nice inside with a simple but nice ambience. The silverware and utensils and menu are the first things I noticed. Nice touch. Food is pretty good. I would definitely recommend the hungry roll and the tonkatsus pretty good but not great. Definitely a step in the right direction for the Japanese food scene here.
