Little Italy Pizza Italian Restaurant

Pizza was really good. A nice spin on sausage. Flavorful but not greasy or dry. The eggplant parmesan was a revelation. At most places, eggplant can be kind of hit or miss. Originally I thought good eggplant had to do something with the breading. I was wrong. Little Italy just showed you had to cook and prepare it correctly and it was consistently good. The "70's fancy" touches like a salad and a roll were cute. However, even the roll, which looked kind of plain, was amazing.

My wife an I had heard and read that this place had some great pizza. So, we're only an hour drive to Gila Bend decided to drive over for lunch. We weren't disappointed. The pizza was excellent. We ordered the Meat Lovers, none of the meats were overly spicy as can be the case with some pepperoni...the pizza was delicious. It was certainly worth the "short" drive.

I stayed here in Gila Bend overnight, and this place had a high rating. They deserve it!
My order was to go (ate back at my hotel), but the interior looked inviting with lots of fun stuff on the walls to read and look at.
The young lady at the register was super nice. She loaded me down with plates and all other needs along with the Meat Lovers style pizza. Crust was great; sauce was pretty good, too!

We were immediately greeted and led to an impeccably clean booth. Our server talked in detail about the menu when we asked for suggestions given this was our first visit. We ordered a variety. The meat lovers calzone was our favorite. It was a very generous portion, hot on the inside and stuffed with meat and cheese. The lasagna was packed with flavor and also a generous portion. The noodles in the chicken Alfredo were amazing. We will definitely come back again.

What a delicious a surprise! This is my third visit while traveling Tucson to San Diego. Pie (crispy baked) and salad this trip. My Italian Chicagoan consort declares it best pizza of her life. I declare best Caesar dressing on the planet. Chef is from Italy studying 5 years there before this gig. Everything either crisp and fresh or made in house and the service was flawless without pandering. The sausage (sliced not crumbled like the heathens do it) will blow your mind. Prince Harry had a favorite pie from here and he's spot on. Worth a diversion and the self love.
