Caldwell County BBQ

This came highly recommended to us by several people and we decided to finally go. Was super disappointed. Atmosphere was top notch, decor was awesome, staff was great, food was meh. We got ribs and brisket. All I could taste was smoke, none of the meat had any meat flavor. That smoke flavor stayed in my mouth all night. The membrane on the back of the ribs was also left on which gave a weird mouth feel. We probably won't be back.

What a great place. Friendly employees and the best BBQ I have had since I moved to AZ more than 10 years ago. This reminds me a lot of mid west BBQ, which is by far my favorite kind. I tried the brisket, pulled pork and turkey breast and all were amazing. The house BBQ sauce is really good as well. The brisket was so tender it was literally falling apart, definitely my favorite.

Recommended by a friend. Cool outdoor space. Tried all the sides. Most impressed by the mac and cheese which had some green chile in it. The fatty/wet brisket sandwich was divine on a sweet roll. Also really liked the potato salad. Be warned this is close by a farm so the outdoor space does have quite a few flies. Will be back. The house sauce was probably our favorite. The mustard sauce was not the best but this is completely a preference for us who enjoy Carolina BBQ more than Texas BBQ. The mustard sauce was too sweet had too much apple cider vinegar in for our taste but everything was great! Come and enjoy.

This pretty good BBQ. They have a great smoker set up, it is very impressive. I enjoyed all of the meats and their sides are going too. Some of the meat like the ribs were a bit dry but they have several tasty sauces that helped to over come the dryness. Even though some might be a bit dry there is still that great smoked flavor. I had the salad with the wet brisket. It was particularly tasty. They have a verity of sides. I had the pinto beans and Mac and cheese. They were both good. Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Food was good but the service was better. Very sweet people and hoer friendly. The outdoor atmosphere is just perfect for an early spring or late fall date night. We're so happy we tried it out. Stark difference from the loud busy places in Downtown Gilbert.
