New York Pizza Department

I have always been a fan of NYPD. Food has always been great, no matter which location I step into. This particular one though, was a real nice one. The server was attentive to our table legs and kept our drinks filled. She also kept her distance so that we weren't annoyed as well.

One thing she did that a lot always fail to do is remember to bring the ancillary stuff we asked for, like the ranch or extra parmesan cheese. It may not seem like much, but that little step is a big deal, as the customer does not need to ask or remind them to bring what was already asked for.

New York Pizza Department is great. If you are looking for a New York style pizza this us your place. We order a medium Pizza and 24 wings. Their honey BBQ sauce was delicious! The pizza is your classic thin crust and was cooked perfectly. It was nice they bring the wings out first which keeps everything nice and hot when you eat. We have been to this NYPD Pizza location quite a bit since it opened. We have been going for at least 19 years to the other locations and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I absolutely love the delicious spinach and artichoke dip with the flat bread. I had to have it while I was pregnant (19 years ago) now my boys enjoy it with me. My husband loves the Hells Kitchen Wings. But when we all go we order regular wings and he gets a side of the Hells Kitchen sauce. We usually order the Vinny's Favorite pizza so we can choose 5 of our favorite toppings. The garlic cheese knots is a must have for my boys. We have so many awesome memories from times at NYPD. My guys would take me there for Mother's Day. We love the food and service at the new location, but it's lacking charm. The other locations were so awesome. I remember writing on the walls and the decor was so cozy, like you were in a person's home...in their kitchen. We have spoken to the waitstaff and they even say they have brought it to management's attention, but it is still boring and cold looking inside. I sure hope that changes. We will be back...
