El Pollo Loco

I'm updating my review since this establishment has been cleaned up and has seems much better than our visit last year.

Food was o.k. but the tables were dirty, napkin holders empty, trash cans full & the salsa bar was a complete mess. After a customer complained the salsa bar was emptied.

Bathrooms were dirty & in dis-repair. Obviously management needs training.

I usually enjoy Pollo Loco's grilled chicken, but I usually order a platter. Since I was in my brand new truck and could not dine in, I decided to order something that would probably not make a mess... a burrito. Unfortunately, Pollo Loco's burritos are filled with so many ingredients that I couldn't even taste the chicken I love so much. Dont get me wrong, the burrito was huge, fresh, and filling, but I specifically went for their grilled chicken. Next time I order a burrito there, I'll order a special one... chicken, chicken, and more chicken, with no fillers! I would still recommend Pollo Loco, but I'd warn that the chicken burrito doesn't taste like chicken!

Not bad, simple good tasting chicken. A little antiquated with coupons though. Still using paper coupons when almost all other fast food restaurants are electronic. Let's get on the 21st century.

Food and employees have always been great. I think it's silly to not allow people to order food by phone however, most restaurants do. Their website wouldn't process my order, so I tried to call it in. They were polite in informing me, but it was still frustrating. I was supposed to order 8 meals for my coworkers and I, but I ended up doing only 3 because by the time I got there, I knew they wouldn't have time to make them all before closing. The only reason for the 3 stars is the lack of being able to call in.
