Ah-Hai Sushi & Grill

Read reviews of people traveling two hours to eat at this small restaurant in a strip mall. So glad I am ten minutes away! Very sophisticated menu. Had a variety of sushi rolls. All were spectacularly tasty. Miso soup the best I have had. Happy hour prices were so reasonably priced. Had fried calamari, Volcano rolls, Snow White rolls, Spicy tuna rolls, and two Smelt roe rolls. All great. Service was really good. I'll return!

Terrific food and service, especially the lunch bento boxes, which come with soup and salad. The choices are plentiful across the entire menu, with good prices for the amount you'll get. There's something for every taste and it's definitely worth the drive if you don't live nearby!

Not sure if I got there on a bad day. But I was not impressed. I love yellow tail and I ordered two things with it and it had a thin layer of the skin and it made it chewy. I asked about it and they replaced one thing and said the guy was new. And I tried to talk to the chefs and they spoke no English... I been eating sushi for the last 20 years. It’s not the worst place I been to but, I am not sure if I would go back any time soon. The place seemed busy like it’s popular or maybe it’s just all they got for sushi near by. I would rather drive 25 more minutes each way to get something better. Hopefully I don’t have to drive to far for better. They had a couple of things I liked but not a good first impression.

My husband says the sushi is delicious. I like my fish cooked, so I get the shrimp tempura. Like the sushi, it looks like a piece of artwork. The chicken hibachi is very good as well. The dressing on the side salad is very good. The orange slices served at the end is a nice way to top off the meal. I only wished they played Japanese music instead of American pop and country.

1st time here. It's a week night and was craving sushi. Found this place close to home, so thought we'd try it! So happy we did! Casual, family atmosphere. Clean and comfortable. Service was good and fast. Best part was happy hour is 4:30pm to close all week!! So a great yummy bite for a reasonable price when you don't feel like cooking after work. Definitely will be back
