The place is nice, clean and somewhat friendly. The atmosphere was off from the last time we came here. This time, Not so happy, the cashier was not a friendly smiling kinda person.
One thing, they serve dishes as they're made. One by one, so whoever is at your table has to wait for their plate to eat. Sometimes is 5min, sometimes it's 2min, I think last time we waited 10min before the last two dishes came out while everyone was eating. I don't know if it's the norm or it's just our luck. And IT IS a tat bit overpriced.
Our bill was just over $76 for 4 of us. 2 adults, 2 kids. For Breakfast!
I don't think I can afford to stop in before work or for lunch - it's gotta be a "I'm craving waffles" kinda visit.
My friend wanted to try this place so we went for breakfast. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. The prices were a little high but if the food is good then it's worth it. So there were 4 of us and our food came out at different times. My friend took one bite and there was a hair visible in the waffle. She took it up and they remade her plate but since our food came out at different times we were all done eating by the time her food came out. I thought they should at least have offered to comp her meal for the inconveniences but they didn't. The way they stack the sandwich makes it hard to eat with a fork and knife but they drizzle syrups on top so messy to eat with just your hands. The bacon was sad looking I mean for the price I think you should get thicker bacon. The bacon reminds me of the precooked kind that you microwave. I wasn't very impressed. Waffle house is cheaper and tastier for me personally.
I have been to this restaurant 3 times and loved it the first day I went. The food is delicious and so are the coffees and teas! Such a warm, family environment. They do get busy during the weekend, but the service and food is always great. Highly recommend.
We stopped in for brunch after having seen the establishment while out shopping and I'm always on the hunt for new breakfast places to try out - especially if they specialize in waffles.
The food - The food itself was phenomenal. If I were rating on just the quality of the meal alone, it'd be an easy 5 stars. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
The service - Unfortunately this is where things started to fall apart. Everything was made to order, a fact that's made clear when you're first ordering your meal. So we were expecting a wait for a our meal. However both our drinks and our individual waffles were brought out as they were completed leading to a very uneven delivery. Delivery of the waffles was staggered and my brother didn't receive his drink until everyone was nearly finished with their meals.
The establishment - Everything was very clean and very nicely spaced out. It didn't feel crowded, and even though there was a line when we arrived and i was concerned about finding seating, we were able to get a table without any trouble. However, the chairs themselves were very uncomfortable. If this was a fast food style establishment, that'd be one thing - but in a restaurant where there's an expected wait for the meal baked in to the experience, that's a bit more of a detriment.
Overall, while the food was absolutely fantastic, everything else was just kind of okay. If the food delivery was just a little more consistent, and the seating was just a little more comfortable, I'd probably return. But as it is, I'm just more likely to go somewhere that the overall experience is more enjoyable.
I appreciate the espresso selection, I tried the hot cinnamon coconut mocha latte and it was okay. I am definitely going back to try the lavender latte. I also ordered the Waffletto and to my surprise, it was savory and delicious. I also appreciate that the visual aspects such as the plating and coffee was served in an actual coffee mug not a plastic to-go cup. The only recommendation is to add a plain waffle with syrup option to the menu (not for the kids) for those who want to keep it simple.
