Matta's | Mexican Grill

The albondigas soup is TO DIE FOR!!! I absolutely love this restaurant and the employees are so friendly and helpful! Also the Chile rellenos are incredible. My bf gets it EVERY time without fail. Go!! I assure you, you will not be disappointed

I grew up going to Matta's back when it was on main Street. this was always a family favorite restaurant until they closed. We were super excited when this Matta's opened! Well the food is very good the menu is somewhat abbreviated from the original restaurant. The ambiance is definitely not the same. This restaurant is closer to fast food than a sit down restaurant.food is ordered at the counter as you walk in and you are given a number to sit down with. When the food is ready someone will bring it to you. They do give you chips and salsa as an appetizer which is nice. Overall this is definitely a restaurant we enjoyed going to but we just miss the original Matta's.

Good old fashioned Arizona style saucy Mexican food. My husband's family has been frequenting Matta's since the original on Main St opened. From great grandpa through 4 generations - all ways delicious. On of the only meat-stuffed chile rellenos I have ever found, their mild salsa is to die for, and my favorite is their albondiga soup.

I love Matta's! The food is wonderful! I love the crunchy bubbly chips with the two different types of salsa you get when you arrive. My favs are the tamale with red sauce...love the red sauce! Tacos are so good also, as most things I have tried are!

We love Matta's! Wish they had one on the west side of town! Sandy's special is my go to meal! Love the chips with the hot salsa too!
