India Oven

A good spot for quick Indian buffet, and a reasonable a la carte menu. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that we had a few issues with getting our order correct and timely on a night that wasn't super busy. They ultimately made everything right, and we had a good meal.

Never really tried Indian food before but we were on the East side of town and this place has good reviews on Yelp. We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch.

Upon arriving, we were guided towards a table and given water. No menu, no further instructions or directions. After a few minutes observing others, we realized we had stumbled upon a lunch buffet! We sampled a small piece of everything (not knowing what anything was) from the buffet line and it was all incredible! All of the meats were tender, the sauces full of spice and flavor, the deserts weren't overly sweet. They did offer a selection of alcoholic beverages from India but we did not order anything from their drink menu.

For our first experience with Indian cuisine, we were very impressed.

The staff was very attentive, taking away dirty/empty dishes quickly and keeping our glasses of water full.

Overall, we paid $27 + tip for 2 adults at the buffet and 1 soda. I thought this was very reasonablly priced considering the quality of the food, attentiveness of the staff, and location.

Needless to say, next time we visit the East valley this place is now on our radar and we might stop by again for lunch or dinner and try something off a dinner menu.

Growing up in an Indian family, I have visited Indian restaurants all over the world. The food here is phenomenal! Great service, family owned, good portions, and fair prices. If I lived in Tucson, I’d be back every week for sure! If you’re in the area and looking for a good Indian restaurant or trying it for the first time, would definitely recommend! ????????

This place is great. Often buffets have such mild food that it’s not enjoyable and even though we can eat it hotter than they serve it is flavorful enough with a little heat. Good selection and the best piece is that it is very affordable. Would recommend this to anyone whether an experienced Indian food eater or a newbie to the genre this place is good. I like Indian food but it is frequently too spicy for my taste. The typical course of events is that I ask for the least spicy dish and it still ends up being too spicy for me. We decided to try Indian Oven and I was prepared to give my meal to my daughter if it was too spicy for me. Surprise!!! It was perfect!

Love the food! Love the price! I am by no means an expert on Indian food but I think that's the reason this place is so special. The buffet allowed me to hone in on my favorites which was difficult because everything is delicious! Highly recommend, especially for someone new or unfamiliar with the cuisine.
