Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant

Great lunch portions and very nice staff. Worst part of lunch for was the horrible glass of water!! It tastes like it came out of an outside water hose. Seriously don't drink the water here as it's worse than Mexico water. Owners please invest in a cheap water filter and get it done!!

Love this place. Such a good value, especially during lunch special times. The ambiance is that of old school California Chinatown type places (like in Los Angeles, San Francisco). The staff is always friendly and the service is generally prompt. The kitchen usually sends food out pretty fast, especially during lunch time. It's a great place to take friends and family although I wouldn't recommend taking toddler-aged kids as sound travels well in the restaurant. They have a little fish tank and my kids love to watch the fish swim around before dinner. I will continue to visit here for great Chinese-American dishes.

A solid 4 stars. We came for a weekday lunchtime and they know how to get you in and out with no delay. It can be hard to find restaurants that serve quick enough for a lunch break, but they've got it down to a smooth routine. A good selection and lunch specials kept us all happy. It's not my favorite Chinese food but still good with large portions and appetizers included. We'll come here again.

Good value lunch. The menu had all the American Chinese favorites, but also some ethnic wonders like double fried beef in sweet-spice sauce on toasted walnuts. I had the 3 Kings chicken/shrimp, and scallops, with fresh vegetables in spicy brown sauce.. Spicy is NOT, very low key American. . $10

First time trying a new Chinese Restaurant for Lunch specials. The prices are very competitive and the service us okay.
We ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork specials and received it fairly quick. The vegetables were not cooked at all and were cold to the touch. The fried pork and sauce however were very good. I'd Definitely give it another try when I'm back on that side of town.
