This barbecue place is decent, offering generous portions, but the food tends to be excessively salty. While they provide unlimited bread at the condiments counter, it's unfortunately not fresh and tends to be dry. The newly introduced nachos need improvement; the cheese is overly creamy, making the chips soggy, and the topping is limited to just cheese and beef pieces.

On a positive note, the dining area is clean, and there's a charming outdoor seating area. I appreciate the well-coordinated color scheme in the decor and staff uniforms. However, there's an unsettling vibe in the overall aesthetic experience.

We really enjoyed Nate's this last week. We stopped in for lunch and even though it was pretty busy, the counter service was very efficient. I had the Brisket and my partner had the Nate's Special. All of the meats were very tasty and prepared well. We also tried both kinds of Corn Bread, Mac and Cheese, and Loaded Mash Potatos. The sides were very good, one drawback was I felt the mac and cheese was a little over cooked. I also wanted to note the sauces were all tasty, my favorite was the Arizona Sweet Heat. Overall Nate's was excellent and we hope it stays around for a long time.

I am a BBQ junkie so I’m always on the hunt for some tasty smoked meat. I don’t live close to Nate’s so it was a bit of a trip but I would make it again, mainly on Friday and Saturday when they do beef ribs. The beef ribs were blow away! The dinner plate with the other bbq was above average (pulled pork, pork ribs) Brisket and beef ribs on pt. Their bbq sauces were good but not what I was used to in a good way. We sat outside, plenty of room and a great atmosphere.

Did you know the name NATE is actually an acronym for the founding pit masters and their beautiful wives? N (Newell Ray), A (Anna), T (Tyra) and E (Eric). Anna and Newell Ray are siblings and thus, they're a family!

This place is cute and I'm not just talking about the decor. This is their second location and to celebrate their grand opening, they were giving out free pulled pork sandwich. On top of that, it the same day as their first location's third birthday. That same day of October 12th is National Pulled Pork Day. If you know me, I love a good theme and these four amazing people did it oh so well!

And honestly, it's one of the best bbq I've had in a long while. I ordered The Big Papa and it is a massive plate of food! I really just wanted to try a little bit of everything and had I brought my gal pals along, I think I would need at least three other girlfriends to attack this plate.

If you're new here, you can't pass on the brisket. You can see the gorgeous pink smoke ring and that crust? Holy cow! One of the pit masters, Eric, had told us that they smoke their meat for about 12-14 hours and let it rest for the same amount of time so it can retain its moisture. And boy was that pink slab juicy. Also to be enjoyed was the jalapeños cheddar sausage. I don't know how but the smoked turkey and chicken were so soft and juicy as well.

As for sides, I can't get into everything because this review is getting wordy. I haven't been this excited to type something up in the longest time so here are the highlights: Get the pasta salad, the cornbread (+ honey and butter because you would be crazy not to), the mac and cheese will make your skirt flip, and the loaded potatoes will have even Pioneer Woman gasping at the butter usage. I LOVE IT ALL! Oh, and know that they also make their pickles and sauces in-house too.

Honestly good food by the most welcoming people in state. I can sing their praises for hours but you don't want that smoke. The smoke you want is on their food. Ba-dum-tss!
