I love this place! We have so very few good selections within a 30 minute drive. After coming and going into 3 places tonight I landed at the Glossy Heifer. Great environment, friendly staff (fully staffed btw), clean and inviting. I sat at the bar and had some really good beer, also another thing lacking in Anthem! The bartender was very attentive and available when needed. I will definitely be back because the guy sitting next to me told me to have the prime rib, it’s to die for! He also said to try the chicken wings, if I could handle the flavor! Kudos guys, way to bring it!
Today after working all day I went to the Glossy Heifer. I thought they were open at 3 pm. They told me they were opened at 4 pm so my step son and I went back at 4. The Cook Billy was out side when we came back and said there would be no service today and stated I was intoxicated. My step son thought that was odd since we just finished work and was told to come back. He thought something was wrong with Billy. Maybe Billy was intoxicated. This didn't make any sense.
We left and went to the Road Runner and enjoyed a nice dinner.
The burger at the Road Runner was amazing. There food was priced right and there are more choices at the Road Runner than at the Glossy Heifer. The portions were a nice size and you don't leave with an empty wallet. Your food and drinks come out in a timely manner.
I don't know what's going on at the Glossy Heifer. I think Billy needs to check himself before he accuses his customers of being intoxicated. He was not acting very well and incidents like this will cost him good customers.
We ordered the Meal Deal with a whole chicken, mashed potatoes, slaw, and bread pudding desert ($22). We also got ribs and the smoked chicken salad. It was AMAZING! I gotta first commend then for getting creative during this difficult time. The window pick up and the meal deal is great. My whole family (of 6) enjoyed the food and we had lots leftover too. They are still working out kinks in timing but they make it worth it for sure. The good is awesome and they are very kind and generous.
I would have never known of this place if a friend had not told me about it. I had the prime rib with coarse horseradish... So good. Good food, good service, friendly staff. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was small things about my food because I have a strict diet. I was not told there was a salad with salad dressing which I can't eat and bleed into my broccoli and part of the meat. But that is small then everything else was fantastic.
My wife tried the bread pudding and said it was great. I will definitely go again.
Newly opened at the time we visited. Nice menu options and huge portions. My husband did country fried steak. The steak was cooked perfectly to Medium Rare. Gravy had a good balance for the steak and mashed potatoes. I had the blue cheese infused buffalo sauce wings. Super crunchy and so delicious. I highly suggest the wings. Service was great and friendly. Only concern is that a couple of items on the new menu were no longer available.
