Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant

Very nicely appointed restaurant with extremely good food.

We got the guacamole to start, and it was right on up there with the best I have had in a restaurant. However, it paled in comparison to the Durango burrito which I had for an entree. THIS was the best thing I have ever eaten in a Tex-Mex restaurant...by a mile.

Abuelo's is so good, at least this one, I am tempted to see if we couldn't get a franchise in my hometown.

I really don't know what people are reviewing when they give this place 5 stars. Service was 5 stars, chips and salsas 5 stars, guacamole 5 stars. As for the food I had a taco a red and chicken sour cream enchiladas and a tamale. The taco I could have gotten at taco bell, the enchiladas weren't worth the space on the plate, the tamales reminded me of a canned tamale I had when I was a kid. The environment was beautiful just wish the food was that good.

This place is very beautiful Mexican Restaurant with statues in the place. If your having a family dinner party of any kind. You'll enjoy every plate like we did at my sister's birthday dinner! Definitely will be coming back again for the really rich food. There was not much of a wait time for us. 10 min of a party of 7. Looked busy. Our server seemed to be to but my family made it worth the wait. I feel they should hire more servers or keep the good ones at any price. However, really really good food. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice place to go if you want to try some authentic mexican food and enjoy a comfortable, inviting environment. We went on a Sunday afternoon and although it was a little bit of a wait and the tables were full, we were still served within a reasonable amount of time, our food served hot and fresh, along with a warm smile every time the server came to the table.

A little on the pricey side but so worth it. Jon makes the best cocktail in town. I had fajitas and they were so delicious.
The service was fantastic and Lacy was a sweetheart. Taking care of us and making us laugh with our bartender Jon. The restaurant was very clean and well staffed. Bathrooms were clean and no line ladies.
