Garcia's Mexican Restaurant

A great place for a good meal. This restaurant is in our rotation of favorite restaurants to visit. We had the Fajitas which they will prepare as best as they can to fit your dietary needs. I requested little to no oil to be used, and vegetables cooked well done and they comply every time. We usually request Lordes for our server and she remembers our order even if it's been a long time since we were there. They really care about the customers.

The margarita was EXCELLENT! I had the street tacos with Carnita meat, another winner. I'm typically not a fan of Spanish rice but my mind was immediately changed by this great tasting example. Service was phenomenal. I'm glad this Garcia's is so close to my home

The service was great! We had a large party and our waitress was great! We were well cared for.
However, the food... Bland and tasteless. The salsa seemed the same which was great! The bean dip no longer uses the Dos XX like it use to, the refried beans had no flavor. Neither did the rice. The taco.. nothing, bland like boiled meat. The spinach cheese dip was like water! It wasn't even thick enough to be cheese soup!!
I worked at the original Garcia's on Miller and Indian School back in the 80's. This was NOT the food we served. ????

Our 7 year old loves coming here, she says they have the best beans. We always have a great time when we go there. Everyone is friendly and attentive.

Service was good. The ambiance was pleasant definitely family friendly. Has a full bar and good margaritas. The food is Tex Mex style so very mild in flavor. We even asked for the hotter salsa it was tasty but mild for us. Flavor would be good for first time tourist experience. We would visit Garcia's again.
