Poncho's Mexican Food and Cantina

A nice little place, despite the fact that they let Bill Clinton in here... Some of the seating is a bit awkward. I usually ask to sit in the bar. The seating is a bit more private in there. We'll, a couple of the booths anyways. Just tired of being seated by the kitchen door seemingly every time. Still, the place has a slight romantic vibe, and it certainly provides some close social opportunities.

I have been coming to Ponchos since I was a baby and I'm now 33 yrs old. My family has been coming her for years before I was born. The food is amazing, the service is great. I always get the green Chile burro. I love ponchos and have now introduced my husband and children to their food. A d they love it

This place has the best Mexican food! It is so delicious! I'm a vegan too, and they have a veggie burrito in the menu that you can get without cheese. Everyone in my party (carnivores) was happy with their meal. Inexpensive, too.

4 stars only because our table was a bit messy. To their credit we did come in the back way and basically picked our seats towards the end of the day. The waitress was so polite and helpful. Food was great. Big portions and i was surprised how little it cost. Would definitely go back.

Poncho's Mexican food is an excellent family owned Phoenix landmark. It has been in the same location for generations offering it's unique style of authentic Mexican cuisine. Ponchos offers a selective delicious menu for any taste. It's quite humble and you feel right at home. There's a take out and a sports bar. The meals are promptly served and very tasty along with inexpensive price's . Outside are the beautiful South Mountains peak's if you wish to dine out door's. President Bill Clinton made reservations and flew on Air Force one especially to dine at poncho's many year's ago .
