Angry Crab Shack

We came into town for a concert and stopped in to have lunch. Our waiter, Grant, was the best server I've ever had.Ever. Every staff member who spoke to us was super helpful and sweet, as was the manager.

Grant explained the entire menu and ordering process and made great recommendations. The food here is excellent. We had the boil with crabs,shrimp, sausage and potatoes and it was delicious. The hush puppies were great, too. Overall, this was the best food and service combined. If I could give more stars, I would. I highly recommend this location.

Don't get me wrong, it's still good. But it's not as good as it used to be. I'm not sure if we went on an off night. But it was a Saturday and was decently busy. The portion of Cajun fries was half what it used to be. the sauce in all three bags we ordered was much drier and less juicy, so all of the meat was pretty dry. I ordered some sauce on the side, and that too was rather dry. It was still good, but I'm bummed it wasn't as good as I've come to expect.

We made reservations for 630 unfortunately we didn't get sat until almost 730 even with reservations. The food was not as good as I remember either we definitely won't be returning to this location. I gave it three stars because we were a party of 17, hence the reservation and our server was amazing!!! He really did a great job making sure we had everything we needed.

Food as always very good. Had shrimp with head on seasoned trifecta medium. Very flavorful. Also had fried catfish. Slaw was good. Only draw back was the server spent most of her time at another table. Don't know if they were friends or her boyfriend. Our table was out of paper towels the entire meal. We kept taking them from another table. I would return but not with the same server.

This is one of my favorite places! I have not had anything on the menu that has not been delicious. Cold beer accompanies the delicious food as well! I have always had friendly and fast service. My husband and I always have a few pounds of crab legs, with the trifecta hot sauce. This sauce is not for the weak, but it is so tasty! Be prepared to get messy. My daughter on the other hand always orders the brisket and loves it. This location is hidden on the corner of the shopping center but it is definitely a must visit.
