The Kettle Black Kitchen & Pub

Great beer, great ambience, amazing french fries. Fish and chips were acceptable pub fare. My wife's burger was really overdone. Our server was completely incredible and stole the show though. I wish I remembered his name because I would come to this place just for him.

On 03/15 we were attending a show downtown and wanted to have dinner before. We had just happened upon this place and went in to check it out. Let me tell you, even though they were busy our wait was minimal. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning. Before a Billy Joel concert, we were looking for a quick place to eat and all the restaurants downtown including this one were absolutely packed. When I told the guy at the door that we simply wanted some fries and a couple pints of Guinness, he promptly found us a couple empty spots in an area on the outside patio. The server brought us our food and drinks in a very expedited fashion. The pints of Guinness, as expected, were cold and poured properly. We tried the truffle fries and they were delicious. The atmosphere was loud and pleasant and definitely when I have more time I would like to try some of their foods. For now, it's a good place for truffle fries and Guinness.

We stopped here for a beer and burger before a attending the Billy Joel concert at Chase Field. The place was packed, which we expected, but we were seated much more quickly than the hour they said it could be. The service was top notch, and the food was perfect. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a meal before an event in the area.
