Great food. BBQ beef & pork was good. Jennifer is an awesome waitress!
Lunch was Slow, again, and not that busy. Tater tots tasted like they were soaked in the oil before they were fried and then they were overcooked. My Burger was cooked medium very nicely and my shrimp was not overdone, thank you. But in the long run, consistency seems to be the biggest problem here.
We stopped here on a whim as we were just driving through Anthem. The description stating Southern style food sounded promising. First and foremost the service was good no complaints there. We ordered a couple of appetizers as they were half price. Honestly appeared to be standard frozen food fair. Tasted good but nothing to write home about. My wife and I decided to share the BBQ combo plate half rack of ribs and the brisket, and our daughter ordered the chicken potpie. Which was about as southern as the menu gets. The chicken potpie was so dry, it looked like it had hardly any gravy in it to speak of. Now I lived in the south for 16 years and one thing I know is BBQ, Texas, Kansas City, Carolina, Memphis I've had it. This was all dry. Not dry rub dry, I mean dry! The ribs, brisket all of it. I have to say that I'm usually a give it another shot kind of guy. But we were all so disappointed it's probably not going to happen.
Dinner was great. 9oz of brisket looked more like 12oz. Pulled chicken and fries, so good. Great service.
Great service and we hit them with a party of 10. Charlene, our waitress, was so friendly. She was attentive and helpful. The food was great! Brisket nachos were huge! Salmon was cooked well. They were out of skillet cookies and Kat's cake though. Really wonderful experience for our Texas and Phoenix families!
