I have to go to the trouble of posting a review for Kai because the staff did everything for us. They are the best in any category that you bring up--food, service, setting, atmosphere, value, and so on. I know that TA reviews are full of superlatives, such as "best cheesecake ever", etc. I'm going way beyond that. In decades of eating out and in several countries, our meal at Kai was best of all. This was our fourth visit to Kai over the last 8 years or so. Always an outstanding culinary experience with unique service and great views. If you are looking for a unique experince, this is it!

I recently attended a conference at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, and was invited to a group dinner at Kai. We were seated in a room with the wine in the back of the restaurant. We were served several courses, and before each one a server would describe in detail the course and what it was composed of. Very nice touch. Our initial appetizer was composed of various mushrooms on (I believe) a piece of Indian fry bread. Delicious. Then we were offered a choice of a salad type appetizer and a seafood one. I opted for the seafood, which was composed of a raw oyster; fried oyster; and grilled halibut. The quality of the seafood was amazing, and the taste of the oysters and halibut were just accented lightly, to allow the natural flavors to come through. For the main course, the choice was a ribeye steak or seafood. I again opted for the seafood, which consisted of black cod; shrimp; and scallop, over which a butter/uni sauce was drizzled. The black cod was sumptuous and the scallop was the finest I have eaten. I felt the shrimp was a tad overdone, but was tasty nevertheless. Those who chose the steak raved about how tender and delicious it was. For dessert, we were offered an assortment of sorbets or chocolate cake. I chose the sorbets, which consisted of lemon/sage; cranberry; and raspberry (?). Was a really refreshing way to end the dinner. The service was amazing. I would be tempted to go back to see what the regular menu is like.

No doubt about it, this was a great experience. Not 5 star because food was fantastic, but not irresistible.

Service is wonderful, as you'd imagine. Great seats no matter where you're sitting and it's quite private since tables are far apart. Everyone has a view. It's quiet and dark and proper. Definitely one of those nights where you feel somewhat awkward as you try to act fancier than you are.

Tasting menu didn't disappoint. there was just no dish I still dream of.

Tagliatelle with truffle as a supplement was great. Plenty of truffle and since you're there, you might as well upgrade.

The hen was also tasty, and I normally do not order chicken at restaurants. It was juicy and cooked well.

By the time we got to the desserts, I was full. Chocolates of all different flavors was presented in front of you.

My experience was with a group reservation in a private room. The staff was attentive, informative, and provided excellent service. The food was fantastic. It was a great experience overall. Our group has not stopped talking about it. Definitely recommend!

Hands down the best experience and food I've had in a long time. Truly, it was so refreshing. If you are visiting Arizona like, add this experience to the list. It's not a place you want to let loose but rather a place you want to fall into and indulge the journey the chef has outlined. Best truffles I've also ever tasted!
