1st time order cake from EarlyBaker. My daughter wants marble cake for her birthday. After reading reviews online and want to support local. I called and placed the order 10 days before her bday. I told bakery her name and she likes dog. Bakery said they will make something about dogs. When I picked up cake today, I was so disappointed. No dog decorations nor happy birthday on it. My daughter was very upset. :(

The reason I gave 3 stars because cake tastes good. A little bit too sweet. But, I don’t think we will be back for $45 cake.

[I originally wrote this review for Yelp but am re-posting it here because everyone in the Valley should know what a perfect place this is.]

It was here I had the best croissant I have had in 10 years and in all of Arizona (and I have eaten croissants at restaurants all throughout the state). A flaky crust with just a whisper of crispness surrounded feathery layers of perfectly laminated dough, each a love letter to butter. It's the kind of croissant for which one shamelessly wets their finger to pick up every last flake and crumb left on the plate.

And that was just the croissant. This place is so much more than the food, but we'll get to that later.

I also had a breakfast sandwich, The Early American to be exact, because that's my go-to barometer of any breakfast establishment. This humble dish can tell you so much about a place: does the cook understand bacon? Do they season the eggs? How seriously do they take their bread? Did they time the ingredients so everything's warm? Unsurprisingly, the sandwich was excellent on all counts. ...But that's just the food, and to only speak about that, as good as it is, doesn't convey what it actually means to go to the EarlyBaker.

If you're a foodie, there's nothing better than being served by someone who loves to cook (or bake) and share their food with others. And that's exactly what you get if you're lucky enough to go when the owner is behind the counter. I was greeted like a new friend, brought coffee as though I were a welcome house guest and got to chat about baking as I would with a favorite neighbor. The smile of obvious pride and pleasure with which each dish was presented was infectious and made everything about an already exceptional experience that much better.

Obviously, one can't leave without dessert. Choosing what pastry was difficult, settling for one - upside-down pineapple cake muffins; what an adorable idea! - was excruciating. Somehow I saved the pastry for....that evening because I am, after all, only human.

Unsurprisingly, it was flawlessly executed, served with an amazing raspberry glace that was sweet without being cloying and didn't overwhelm the bright note of pineapple; a perfect complement to the not-too-sweet bread of the muffin.

There's so much to look forward to. Macrons, lunches, I didn't even get to crepes yet. But whatever I order in the future I have every confidence that it will be flawlessly executed and prepared and served with warmth and care.

Our soccer game was rained out and we just found this place randomly. Glad we did. The food was delicious. My family tried everything from smoothies and muffins to the chicken crepes. Everything was delicious. The owner is super friendly. Made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. It was an awesome experience. I’m actually glad we got rained out. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.

The food here is excellent. It always fresh and very tasty. Their gyros are so good. Just the right amount of seasoning and the bread is terrific. The side salad that comes with the gyro is delicious...highly recommend everyone try this hidden gem.

Update: Just had a burger and the lamb chops here. They were both excellent. This places serves up very tasty food. Gonna go back for taco Tuesday for sure.
