Wow! We came to this restaurant because of the good Google reviews, but when we drove up, it was almost deserted. We were greeted by the friendly owners, and led to a modest booth. Presented with the menus, we asked for recommendations, which the owner gladly made. We ended up trying the appetizer sampler and a fruit drink that we hadn't planned on, but were pleased on both accounts. I ordered coffee, which they made fresh for me, and brought with a creamer full of HEATED CREAM! I have NEVER been served coffee with heated cream! What a nice surprise. We ordered three of the Salvadoran dinners (there were three of us) and enjoyed them all family-style. Tooped the dinner off with a banana burrito with ice cream - a very nice ending.
A very pleasant dining experience in modest trappings with modest prices. Everything seemed fresh, was served hot, and with grace and a smile from the owners. I will be back...

When you walk into Eliana's, you are surrounded by framed articles and awards for Phoenix Best restaurant awards- until you notice they are all from the 90s. Located in a somewhat abandoned part of town, Eliana's gives me the vibe that its not as popular as it used to be. I liked that their menu was small and focused on their cuisine. The food was just A-OK, very heavy on the carbs and beans but the flavors were very mild and kinda boring. The servers and owner were super nice and attentive, which makes it very hard for me to be critical since I want them to strive and get more customers. That being said, there is definitely a need to revamp that place in order to get it back to its glory days. Luckily their desserts were pretty tasty (fried churro style banana dishes with ice cream) and the price was very affordable.

Like many extraordinary restaurants, the outside of Eliana's can be deceiving. However, the ambiance and service inside definitely makes up for it.

The food - appetizers, entrees, and deserts were delicious. While the portions may seem small, you definitely come away feeling satiated and wanting to come back for more.

Overall, service was excellent, the food delicious and fresh, and the bill left us shocked at how cheap a full meal was.

    Highly recommended.

I love this place. I ate here today, and it was excellent as always. I had an injury and I went to eat with a friend, but I was so nauseous from pain... I just went for the ride. The lady who waited on us suggested a small cup of soup and it did, in fact, settle my stomach. The man and woman (husband and wife?) that run the place are fantastic and the food is outstanding. Get the yucca; get the plantano.
