They have good ramen here. I have several tried several types and they are all good. The Tokyo Shoyu is delicious. This one is the clear broth one. The black soy is pretty good also. I like the fact you can order with a qr-code and the food just comes out. The only down side about that is you have to get you own water and there are pretty much no service. We always tip well. The big question is.... do you have to tip when we have to go get our own water? 😂
Drove up from Tucson to try out Origami! Here's what I can say:
It is a little pricey outside of the basic bowls, you could easily spend $18 on a single bowl of ramen here. The ramen was good, but the broth was much thicker than any other bowl of ramen I've ever had. Personally, I'm a fan of a thinner broth I suppose. The egg was perfect, a solid 10 there, and that can't be said of many places. Noodles and toppings were pretty good as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the chashu here and would choose a different meat option next time. Points for being different and unlike anything else, just not my favorite bowl of ramen. We are planning on returning another day to try different menu options like curry and karaage. The restaurant and bathroom was very clean and well kept.
Thank you for the food!
Awesome food as always! We got the new japanese curry which was bomb, although next time I'll ask for it spicy. Friendly staff, you order on the phone which is nice to eliminate unnecessary touching while we venture on through this pandemic. We will definitely be back!
The food was ok and the same goes for the service. I was annoyed to have to put my order in online, while at the restaurant, when the server dude was right there. The ramen was so so, the edamame was pretty good, and the miso pork bowl was good. I would not call it authentic Japanese and certainly not worth the price. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to go again but I suppose I would join in if someone else was paying. Though I might suggest somewhere else first.
I thought this restaurant was delicious. I had black soy, I would definitely recommend it. My husband ordered miso, not the spicy one and it was also yummy. He added spicy oil after, very very good. We ordered the crispy chicken rice bowl for my 1 year old, he loved it. I ordered the strawberry drink and it was absolutely mouth watering.
