This place is the BEST! My girlfriend and I took the beginner pottery class and it was so much fun!! Our instructors were so fun and knowledgeable and made our experience amazing. They taught us the basics and were there to help with whatever we needed and made sure we all had something we were proud of to take home. The best date night we will definitely be back!!

As someone new to pottery I can’t speak highly enough about PIP. The classes are always fun and approachable for a multitude of skill levels. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The space is nurturing of whatever creative experience you want to have.

On top off all that you can get a great cup of coffee, delicious snack or great beer or glass of wine.

For anyone who has ever been curious about ceramics PIP is great place to start your journey.

Absolutely love this little gem of a spot! I had never done pottery before but wanted to give it a try so I came with my mom for my birthday and it was such a fun experience! They sell lots of great spirits that you can sip on while throwing pottery- which makes it a great date night or night out with friends! Now I’m addicted and am taking weekly classes. They’re very affordable as they sell packages of classes, the instructors are top notch, and everyone there is so welcoming and helpful!!

Going to PIP Coffee & Clay has quickly become my weekly meditation. I started off with a beginners lesson pack and it was such a fun experience to go through with other first timers. All the instructors were engaging, helpful, and motivating. Then I moved on to open studio to practice on my own. It’s such a relaxed atmosphere where I can escape the daily grind and create. PIP has all the tools I need to throw, trim, and glaze. It’s such a colloquial environment where instructors and other potters are always open to questions and trading tips. I love bringing people there for the first time and watching them get their hands dirty and learn something new! PIP is adding so many fun classes to the line up too! Honestly, PIP is just plain awesome and taking a class there is a must do in Phoenix!

I love throwing at Pip! I have attended open studio and classes. They have quite a few wheels and all the tools you could need!! Plus they have a variety of glazes to choose from when it’s time to glaze your pots. The staff is also so nice and helpful! They are always willing to answer questions and give tips, if you need them.

Plus it’s just a great space to meet other pottery nerds and talk shop (:
