Solid all the way around. Small little taco shop that is usually pretty steady during the workday. Great salsa bar and the service is great as well. Definitely need to check it out

This is definitely a Sonoran dream come true. If you're from Hermosillo, you must go here when missing it as no doubt you're familiar with Taqueria El Chino from back home. The salsa alone will take you back!

The barbacoa was delicious! Very juicy and tasty. Watch out for the juice as it will destroy your tortilla quickly.

To be honest, it was kind of dry (sorry). But, it still was very tasty. (The corn tortillas don't seem to be homemade by the way. In Hermosillo, they have a special tortilla that they make just for the Barbacoa so that it doesn't destroy the tortilla)

It did not seem like the normal steak meat that is used for Carne Asada. I was hesitant to try this as I know it's not what they specialize in. It was juicy and tasty, but probably wouldn't get it again.

Their hottest salsa was "muy picoso" as stated on the sign, the jalapeños were fresh (as well as all the rest of the vegetables). Like I said, their salsa alone is worth coming here for! It will bring me back again and again!

This was a happening spot! I couldn't believe how many people were coming to this hole in the wall! Packed house the entire time we were there with a line nearly out the door.

Overall, our experience was a pleasant one with nostalgia in the air as we longed to go to Cerro de la Campana in Hermosillo after seeing the pictures on the wall.

Excellent, authentic food! Fresh and flavorful! Great service! Friendly and engaging staff! Large portions and good prices. As travelers always looking for good local food we hit the jackpot with this little gem! Delicious!

Absolutely authentic, one of the few places to serve head, cheek, and tongue meat, if you want true authenticity! Otherwise, the rest of the meats are fabulous! LARGE taco tortillas, unlike so many serving mini-tacos. Burritos come open on a pizza pan, humongous, to add your salsas and toppings! Nice salsa bar, too. Very friendly staff eager to explain and make your experience enjoyable. If you feel this Van Buren location is "sketchy", remember that they quickly serve the professional office buildings for lunch only blocks away. Don't miss the small parking lot. Definitely the TASTIEST Taqueria in the valley! I can't speak for the other location on Central with a bar and dancing, as I've only been to the Van Buren location.
