So great & delicious. The meat was tasty and caramelized, the tacos were crisp, the toppings were exactly as they should be for street tacos. Jamie was kind and attentive. Will be coming back for sure! Husband loved his Phoenix spicy marg.
Cool place. Cozy and hip. Service was great, bartender and server came to the table to address me when I came in immediately. Very appreciative of that. Ordered an el pastor burrito and it was a very good size. Chips were good, nice and crispy. Unfortunately, the el pastor could’ve used a little more salt just to bring out the flavors. As well as the pico de gallo which also could’ve used a little more salt and lime juice. Would give it another shot if I’m ever in the Phoenix area again. Seems like a start up Restaurant with a lot of potential. Major hotel right up the hill at Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. Could bring in a lot of business during conferences/forums. Wish them luck!
I stopped in for a quick dinner this week and was blown away! The staff was so friendly and the owners were chatty and helpful when I had questions on the menu. I got the Xolo Burrito, which was huge, and polished it off in about two minutes flat! I couldn’t help myself, the flavors were just so good. Job well done, Xolo! I’m already dreaming of when I can go back!
So glad we went to Xolo. Very good food. Wait staff was extremely pleasant. I agree with a lot of the other people posting, but did notice that the owners pay attention and have already implemented a lot of the better suggestions. We were here between lunch and dinner so very slow. I could imagine a really lively Friday or Saturday happy hour crowd (if we experience thatbI will bump atmosphere rating)
We really enjoy this place, so happy to have an option in our neighborhood, this would be 100 percent a 5/5 but I have some constructive criticism!
Food is great to start off, their al pastor is far better than the Mexicano.
Phoenix margarita is fire, love it
Music is great too, a mix of chill lofi and traditional Mexican fare.
Now for the improvements,
It would be great to see table chips and salsa offered gratis, other tables were, we were not.
pleaaase get some good napkins, those tiny food truck ones don't cut it, you're classier than that.
No more plastic cups for water.
High tops >>>> low tables, get these and your space will sing, ditch the plastic chairs too.
Happy hours, 3 to 5 should have posted happy hours, make people want to go here.
Highly recommend, hope you build and grow.
