OMG. Their food is amazing and reminds me of my own yiayia's. The spanakopita is crisp, flaky, and beautiful. The Greek crazy fries were something I never tried, but I can't say no to feta. So delicious.
Everything about our visit was terrific, but the highlight for me was getting a taste of the roasted potatoes that came with my wife's lamb skewers. I'm not so sure I would have shared, had it been my meal. I went with a gyro, and it was first rate as well.
Z's is an unpretentious, reasonably priced delight. They appeared to be doing quite a bit of take out and drive through business when we were there, and the friendly, efficient woman working at the counter seemed to be on a first name basis with some of the other customers.
We were staying nearby, and found some places in the neighborhood to be a bit precious for our tastes. Z's, on the other hand, was just what we were looking for - filling, fast, and friendly.
Z's is fantastic! Everything is nice and fresh, super delicious. The employees are very sweet. We had a wonderful Greek salad (with tons of feta, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, great dressing, pita), and a felafel pita combo with fries. They have desserts as well, but we didn't try it. They have a nice little dining room, and a great patio, drive through and take-out.
This place is well worth the trip. The staff is super friendly and the place is kept clean. The hummus was excellent. I had a Gyro and a greek salad. The meat was succulent seasoned just right. The portions are huge so come hungry or grab a to-go container.
