Just left better experience than expecting quite honestly didn't know what to expect because it was dead here. brisket was bland for my taste, girlfriend loved it(we grew up with food seasoned differently she thinks everything I cook is too salty lol) I loved the lumpia though. if they were closer to me I'd be there every other day for lumpia. Fries and pork skewers we're good too. And I loved it was a family owned business they were watching Bewitched and playing cards might be a turn off for the snobbery around here but felt like I was enjoying food at home with family the mom is so nice too.
Had ribs, brisket, baked beans, Mac n cheese, and onion rings in a family platter. Ribs and sauces were good, especially the Carolina sauce. Onion rings were yummy as well but the Brisket was a let down. It had good flavor and was moist but they through it on the plate as if it was pot roast. It wasn't sliced properly and made it taste off. The baked beans were so sugary I could feel granulated sugar and the Mac n cheese was just ok. It's probably the best BBQ in San Tan Valley but I'd make the drive out to Jalapeno Bucks or Caldwell County BBQ for something better if you have the time.
Don’t tell anyone, but this is the best bbq I have ever tasted. Their sauces are on point and their food is very reasonable for bbq. I wish I could take the sweet couple that runs the place home with me!
So happy to have good BBQ and Filipino food in QC! It seems like every day, a new chain restaurant pops up in these parts, so it's nice to have a unique, family-owned place and it's even better that the food is excellent. The meats are all good, but the brisket is where it's at. The crispy pork belly is fantastic and authentic, make sure you eat it with the dipping sauce it comes with along with white rice. Very friendly and clean atmosphere as well.
Very good food. A little bit pricey for lunch. Old cafe style tables and chairs. Get your own straws, plastic ware and condiments.
