Their turkey is really good but their brisket is lacking. It is really dry and not really worth the price. Don't get me wrong it is still good but it could be better.
Food was excellent, good thing because the service was rough!! 2 of 3 employees were short tempered. The male employee that was cutting the meat snapped at me, that he only does the meat... I was trying to order a brisket taco along with my two meat plate when he spoke rudely. He didnt acknowledge my taco order at all. Then the female employee snapped at me that she only does the sides when I mentioned the taco to her. Even my husband who is the more patient one thought their reactions were unkind and unwarranted. Good thing the food is so yummy.
05/30/20 I MUST add an update! Went to the same location for dinner tonight. What a completely different experience!! We were greeted when we came in. We had very pleasant interactions with the employees and the food was of course tasty!!! YIPPEE!
The food was good but unfortunately, barbecue sauce was a bit spicy for our taste. Unfortunately when we went there, The drink machine was only halfway operational. So the only drinks you could get or either tea or diet drinks. I would have given it five stars, but because of the drink machine malfunction, I only gave it four.
Dickey's is pretty good for a chain BBQ place. Their kielbasa and pulled pork with the fried okra are my favorites. The smoked turkey is really good here too. I like it better than the chicken because it is usually more tender and juicy. The brisket is hit and miss though... and more often a miss. It can be fatty and tough. This particular location is pretty small and can't accommodate too large of a crowd. A lot of people come for takeout orders though and it stays pretty steady. I've heard that Saturday evenings can get really busy with lines out the door. I believe there is the option of mobile ordering here so you can skip the line and pick up your order and run. I recommend this place. It's the best BBQ we've found in Queen Creek so far.
This was our first visit. Came during middle of week during lunch time so restaurant wasn't super busy. Small dining area, but nice and clean.
I had the turkey, it was so moist, tender and delicious. Hubby had the smoked brisket with the jalapeno-cheddar kielbasa which was also juicy and tender. Nice portion sizes and reasonably priced for quality of food.
