Squarz Bakery & Cafe

It was an incredibly pleasant surprise to find this place. I work at TruFusion just north of here and have always wished there was a non-Starbucks coffee shop closer.

Squarz is like a blend of coffee shop and restaurant, with a large indoors seating area literally split in half - one side with tables and chairs meant more for having a meal, the other side with couches, sofa chairs, coffee tables, and cool, artsy decorations.

I ordered a "spiced cold brew," which uses typical coffee spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. - I didn't get the exact recipe) in it's brewing. I enjoyed it, but I drank it black and think it might be something that's better with some milk or cream.

There were a couple enticing local craft beers on tap, as well as kombucha. They serve wine as well but I didn't see if that was on tap. And I also noticed mimosas and peach sangria featured near the breakfast part of their menu.

The assortment of pastries - primarily croissants - is mind-blowing (and mouth-watering). I can't wait to come back and try one.. or more.. of them. I didn't pay much attention to the food menu, but based on such a positive experience, I'd like to try a full meal here as well.

Last but certainly not least, they had a board listing a bunch of cool events for the month!

The place was nice, clean and the food tasty. Cappuccino was good too. The different croissants looked great. Will go back for breakfast again or for a coffee.

I LOVE IT!!!! Squarz NEVER disappoints. The savory and sweet options make it perfect for everyone. Such a cozy and warm atmosphere. I tell everyone I know to go and enjoy food, bakes yummies, and even drinks!!! You’re my favorite, See you again soon.

I came in for lunch. Everything was great. The pie was nice and flaky, which was a nice contrast from the moist filling. Afterwards I had the red velvet croissant, and that was out of this world. The chocolate was rich but not overly sweet, and the filling was smooth and creamy. The croissant itself was a beautiful red, and just the right texture. Overall you can see and taste the craftsmanship they put into the food

Visited this delightful bakery today after finding the Scottsdale location. Went for the chocolate croissant and kept ordering items. Pleasantly surprised to find vegan options. They had a vegan French onion soup that was savory and delicious. The lentil curry baked pie had a flaky crust and a mildly spicy filling with chunks of carrot and potatoes. These treats make my mouth water thinking about them. Staff is extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, like a favorite coffee shop.
