This place came highly recommended to me as authentic Italian. I don't know what part of Italy this would be from, maybe bologna because everything was heavily Sauced and creamy. That is not typical Italian. Italians want you to taste the pasta, everything here was drowned. Very unimpressed food-wise. And while the server was very pleasant, it was also extremely slow & inattentive. Difficult to get a second glass of wine and even get the check.
I don't know if they serve anything other than wine and beer I was only interested in wine. They do have a terrific selection of wine.
Booths are comfortable. I walked here from my hotel so I can't really tell you what the parking is like. This is in the heart of Old town Scottsdale, so I would imagine parking is at a premium. Went on a Saturday night, so reservations would be highly recommended.
Fun late night drink and food location. Broad wine selection and Jameson on draft! Business-casual environment with nice staff.
Service was excellent at the bar. Don't know about sit down service. Food was very good, but didn't quite have the wow factor of others. Presentation was very appetizing, though. Meatballs were superb.
It was a little noisy, but expected in Old Town on a beautiful, mild Friday night. Nice looking patio with a large slice of the Scottsdale croud.
My daughter took me for dinner last night. I was so pleased. Our server Maura was wonderful. She was very attentive without hovering. She has the best smile! I had the lasagna and it was such a generous portion that Kate the other half today. And believe me, if I like something I normally shove it all down. But it was so good and so filling I wanted to save it. The $5 happy hour wine was very nice. We had the truffle fries as an appetizer and they were nice and crispy, not greasy at all. My daughter had the chicken parmigiana and it was really tasty and fresh. I can’t wait to go back!
Very accommodating at EVO. Classy but not pretentious, this beautiful brick building brings great culinary and fun atmosphere.
**I personally loved the music they played.**
Our server, Maura, was smart and easy going.
She chatted with us casually.
Overall if Scottsdale pricing is regular than EVO is a solid choice! Bring your swag but not bravado!
