Note: I have included a basic recipe at the bottom of this review to get you started.

I haven't written review in quite a while, but this it's so over-the-top good that I had to write a review.

First, it's important to know what this place isn't. It's not a sushi bar, it's not a poke place, and it's not a regular restaurant.

Now for what it is. It is primarily a takeout place where you come in and choose from a series of items that creates a custom dish of your making. It's not terribly unlike many other semi assembly line restaurants in concept, for example Chipotle's or Subway. However, it is vastly different in the type of ingredients.

The ingredients tend to be very Japanese / Hawaiian / Korean. And they are very high quality ingredients. Not only are the ingredients high-quality, but the portions are really generous. My wife and I shared a 2 protein dinner, and we were both well fed.

The young Korean man who we spoke with twice on different occasions, was extremely personable. His name is Sang Min Park, and I believe he is the manager of the place.

They are open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. 6 days a week and closed on Sundays.

STARTER RECIPE:
If you like poke, then you will probably like this recipe. I put it together out of my head, and I don't know how to make poke, but it satisfied my craving for poke.

Purple rice, purple cabbage, kimchi, cucumber, pickled ginger, avocado, marinated tuna (two servings,) dried seaweed, sichimi powder, poke sauce

I'm not done reviewing this place yet. No need to wait for me however, jump in and go enjoy what this place has to offer.

So I have to admit - when I saw this going in I was like "oh another poke place"...
I waited and saw the reviews...getting a lot of good feedback I decided to give it a go.

BEST POKE!! WHY DID I WAIT!!
1. They are sister restaurants with my favorite place in DT Phoenix, Harumi. Purple rice is my jam.
2. The bowls are generous - you get a lot of options to stuff in there.
3. I have tried most of the fish and all is fresh and flavorful (have not tried the shrimp options yet)
4. For $10 I get a delicious bowl and i'm completely full after (never the case with sushi) and for take away you are in and out.

Little hidden gem and so happy its here!

I came here on a Monday evening with one of the bestie to get some healthy dinner......and WOW NOT JUST ANOTHER POKE PLACE!! MUST MUST come here...just simple quality.

First the energy was clean and welcoming. Have to thank the owner John for the great service.

We custom ordered the following:
Sushi poke bowl: Please do not come here without ordering this, it really was the bomb! It consist of tuna, spicy crab, avocado and I'm not sure what else but all the ingredients inside this came together beautifully. Every bite melts in your mouth, it almost evaporates.
My friend even commented this place was the best poke bowl place in town, and shes right. No poke place is equal, not all sushi bowl is the same.

Vegetable dumplings: Good flavoring, nice amount of veggies.

Salmon Avocado roll & Poke Roll: fish, avocado, rice, everything about these sushi pieces was so fresh and so right.

Delicious, the perfect portion (since they really fill your bowl to the max!), and the perfect way to end such a great lunch or dinner.

Boy was this a memorable poke bowl, super healthy and absolutely delicious!

Food is very tasty. Great quality seafood, yummy purple jasmine rice, and great prices (very affordable). I haven't had anything I didn't like. Highly recommend trying!

Was a bit unsure about trying at first because of the purple rice, but ended up being great. The rice gives it a little bit more flavor but doesn't drastically change the taste. Good portions- the small was enough for two meals, and the fish is nice and tender.
