Barrio Queen

Highly recommend checking this place out. The margaritas (I had the drink of the month) were fantastic. The salsa and chips they give you to start is really good, but don’t eat too much because the portion size is massive. Our waitress (Noelle) was very friendly and we received our food within 15min of ordering. I’ll be going back here my next time in Scottsdale.

We phoned ahead the night before for a group of about 25 and were asked to call the next afternoon, which we did. Then we arrive and can see lots of seats, only a few outside were occupied but we're told it will be an hour before we can be seated. We say we'd be fine with outdoor seating so we're told to sit there. Then as we start to enter the area we'e told no and we'll have to wait that hour. We say we'd be fine sitting down and waiting, perhaps starting with cocktails and chips and salsa but evidently that doesn't work for them either. See ya, there's too many other places we can go. -- EDIT: I did not write this review, and I have no idea how it was posted from my account. I can delete it, but first I'd like to investigate to find out who used my google account and how. For now I'm changing it from 1 to 4 stars so as not to hurt the business.

We visited on a rainy Tuesday night and they were busy. 30 minute wait was worth it. I had 3 different tacos and she the Barrio Pollock burrito. All great. Tacos had house made fresh corn tortillas. Chips made in house too. I highly recommend.

My experience has always been between 4 and 5 stars but more often 4 than 5. Their guacamole supposed to be very famous but I find it average. The chips they have is very different than usual Mexican places but slightly on the oily side. Salsas are amazing one of the best in valley. Great tacos and entree selection. 5 on 5 for food and drinks. The only reason I give 1 star less is because of the service. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it is below average. But I guarantee you will love the experience regardless.
