Maggiano's Little Italy

Thanks to our waiter Bill we had a great experience. As a result of his efforts and the kitchen staff, I had a gluten free meal that was tasty and prepared at a separate station in the kitchen to ensure it was free of any gluten. He had someone from the kitchen come out and talk with me. This has never happened when we have gone out. I was very surprised and appreciated the attention to detail. Thank you so much!

What's not to love about this place? It's an Italian restaurant that feels like you stepped back in time - where you aren't rushed out with mediocre food, so they can fill up your table. This is a place that still accepts reservations and I recommend it. The service is excellent, cuisine unique and compelling. Maggiano's is the kind of place to take the family and order appetizers, an entree, and dessert. (Lemon cookies are complimentary!). They have some decent specials if you want to save some money, yet still enjoy a refined evening out.

Excellent food. Mediocre service. Party of 6 on a Monday night at 6pm. Straight forward orders. Kind and cordial waiter, but we were mostly ignored and had to ask several times for our drinks to be refilled (one drink refill and all at the same time, not like we asked multiple times). I was given a dish that wasn’t thoroughly cleaned and needed ask for a replacement. Dessert was served to us amid a table of dirty dishes leaving no room for our dessert plates. They seemed grossly understaffed and our waiter was stretched thin. Attention to detail was lacking overall. The food was delicious but the dining experience was lackluster. Can’t blame an overstretched staff but it would behoove the owners to hire more staff to ensure greater attention to detail.

Had a birthday lunch today with friends and family at the Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant located at the Promenade shopping mall in Scottsdale, AZ. The restaurant is the one and only in town, it has the capacity for 300+ diners and has been in place for the past 13 years. Their menu is old style Italian, eat one and take one home, serving brunch, lunch and dinner. They also provide for catering, private dining, family reunion or large banquet room for parties. They have their own happy hours and the food is delicious. Service is attentive and kind.
